Visitation center for aquaculture in Norway 

In order to spread information and knowledge about aquaculture, the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries can grant so-called display permits. In May 2023, 30 visitation permits were active.

Target groups for House of Salmon

Everyone is welcome to visit House of Salmon! It is suitable for the vast majority of age groups. For school pupils, we have developed a separate program, aimed at secondary and upper secondary school.

Initiative?

House of Salmon is owned and operated by SalMar Farming AS and SalMar ASA. SalMar farms salmon from Møre and Romsdal in the South-West up to North-East of Finnmark. SalMar is a Norwegian company, and one of the world’s largest producers of salmon. As of May 2023, 2,500 people worked in SalMar, only in Norway. In addition, we have production in Iceland, Great Britain, Scotland, Shetland and the Orkney Islands.
